What would possess us to record a family album??  Our family loves music, loves singing, loves Southern Gospel Music and loves the Lord Jesus Christ.  We had the opportunity to go to two Gaither Vocal Band Concerts in 2013 (this is ALL that Caylie asked for when she graduated from high school - tickets to a Gaither concert).  We were very blessed to meet Bill Gaither and Mark Lowry (Neat story!!!  Read about it starting here:  One Great Day).  On another date, we were equally blessed to get some time with Gordon Mote.  You can read about our experience here:  Don't Let Me Miss the Glory.   Their graciousness and humility - along with others such as Kelly Nelon Clark, Michael English, and Dusty Wells (he has some VERY inspiring tweets - you should follow him) - made a big impression on our children, as well as us.   They weren't in it for the glory, but to share the love of Christ.  That was so refreshing to see!  We found that the concert wasn't mere entertainment, but a night of worship.  Their ministry helped to usher us into the presence of The Almighty.   Caylie was beyond blessed by these experiences and...  excited.  She asked if we could start singing together as a family - beyond our weekly worship time.  Landon was just as eager.  Chris has loved music since he was a child.  In the past, he taught church choir and led music at church.  Chris and I talked about it and thought it could be a "win" for everyone.  We could spend time together as a family and do something that we all love and enjoy, all while worshiping our Savior and King - the Lord Most High, Jesus Christ.  We don't claim to be great, or in search of fame and fortune.  We will never aspire to the level of the aforementioned artists.  Our songs are flawed, as are we.  It is merely our hope to share our love of the Lord and our love of music with others, IN SPITE of our imperfections.   Our recording times bring a lot of laughter and even more humility (Have you ever really listened to a recording of yourself???  Yikes!).  We hope you enjoy it!
